{Pretty}
Evening light filtered through Japanese Maple tree in the back yard.
{Happy}
The delight in the face of my son as he watched a dragonfly dance overhead.
{Funny}
Sometimes a bucket makes for a nice hat.
{Real}
The reality of not getting my boys to cooperate and sit still long enough for me to take a picture and having them both looking into the camera and smiling, not such an easy thing to do.
Looking at your pretty photo makes me think the volunteer in the garden is a Japanese Maple seedling. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! Sometimes buckets really do make great hats :)
ReplyDeleteso cute. I have sent out many a Christmas card with crazy pictures of kids not holding still! My friends without children never "got it" until they had at least 2 of their own!
ReplyDeleteBuckets do make the best hats! I really love your photos.
ReplyDeleteLove the look on your son's face as he watches the dragon fly! I also really liked that last picture of both children turning away as you tried to take a picture. I have a shoebox full of photos like that!
ReplyDeletePersonally, I think the collage of trying to get the boys' attention is much better than a straight on posed shot!
ReplyDeleteI agree. This is Christmas card material. Enjoy your summer with these guys (what's left of it!).
ReplyDeleteI love these phfr posts...beautiful photos. I am a fan of the Japanese maple. We put one in when we redid our back landscaping. I had the most gorgeous tree in my first NJ house, some 20 years ago. We took a Christmas card photo in front of it and I'm going to dig that out and put it on my blog I think.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day!
