A lot has been going on here of late but not all of it is pleasant or even news worthy so instead of blogging about that I am joining Amy today for the semi-annual Bloggers' Quilt Festival.
The last few quilts I have made have a scrappy look and I am loving them, this latest one is a particular favorite, because the only fabric I had to purchase was the outside border and the backing.
I have mentioned here before that I participate in one of our local quilt shops free block clubs, this is one of those quilts.

Wonderful scrappy quilt! And I especially love that you only had to buy the border & backing.
I SO WANT to do a scrap quilt - when I get enough scraps! This is beautiful and who would know that you used your scraps! I am a beginner and just finished my 3rd quilt. I must stop starting new things, but I think that's a problem many of us have! Thanks for sharing this! Lily.
I love scrappy and I love your quilt.
I usually feel "eh" about scrappy but for me, I think it's because I never quite feel there's cohesion overall. However, yours, I think is quite pretty! The fabrics all play well together. :D
Your scrappy quilt is a work of art. How fortunate that you were able to get all the piecing done with your stash.
Those quilts I like best are the ones that go together without shopping. Your scraps have assembled themselves quite nicely.
This is so gorgeous! What a wonderful scrap-buster idea.
Love the traditional aspect and the use of color!

Your scrappy quilt is beautiful. I am going to want to come back and visit it again. I love the alternating blocks and the pattern they make. Wish I had a LQS that did things like this but then again we have FEST's like this.
Ooh cool! I love how you set the same blocks in rows!
