Good Words

God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears and light for the way. - Anon

Trapped

EM thinks he's going to climb the gate and go up the stairs.

Sometimes I feel trapped . . . like an animal in a cage, only my gate keepers are 9 months and 3 1/2 years old.

I'd forgotten how confining an infants schedule can be . . . oh wait what schedule, it seems to change monthly weekly daily.

He's been refusing to nap lately and the fight to get him down is wearing thin.

I think I need a play date.

Any takers?

Sans kids.

Obviously.

This morning he head bonked me and gave me a fat lip . . .  nice.

He thinks I'm a jungle gym.

Both boys have a cold and my day isn't complete if one or both of them hasn't wiped their snotty nose on me.

The whining must stop soon or I'll go insane.

I guess that includes me.

I'm done now.

Thanks for listening.

Have a lovely day.  ;-p

Ugh.
Hope your day (Week!) gets better and that you're able to get out.

Oh I have SO been there! My kids used to get sick ALL the time -- it made me crazy, because they both got so incredibly whiny every time they came down with a cold. And then inevitably I would come down with a cold, too, since I apparently have absolutely no immune system.

It's okay to feel frustrated...cut yourself some slack. Parenting young children is really, really hard. It's a lot of drudgery, with a few shining moments spliced in between (that's how it felt to me, anyway!).

I think we're both in desperate need of a Girls' Getaway! Wish we weren't broke like you or we'd rent a beach condo for the weekend!
